The city of Grand Forks has confirmed options for changes to the water metering bylaw will be presented next month.
70% of the devices have been installed.
But a very vocal minority – around 250 homeowners- refuse to do so and council will ponder the options they have as they try to wrap up the universal metering program. The public will be able to speak to the options presented June 15th as well.
An opt-out option will be included in the staff report and it will be up to council to decide.
A large public turn-out is expected for the meeting amidst the uproar and political fall-out over the meters.
