Area B wants better rec deal with Trail

Residents in Area B do not want a new shared recreation service agreement with Trail at the same price.

This from Area Director Linda Worley who looks over communities such as Genelle and Rivervale.

Staff are currently developing a community survey to get a more comprehensive understanding of residents’ support to renew a deal that allows them to use Silver City facilities.

Worley says only 12% of Area B residents who own a Trail recreation pass use it.

She believes that shows they aren’t getting the bang for their buck at $140,000 a year.

The survey is expected to go out next month.
