Woman locks herself in bathroom for drugs

Nelson police are recommending charges after a woman locked herself in a local businesses bathroom and injected drugs.Officers responded to the business Friday evening where the woman had refused to leave the bathroom for nearly an hour.

Police used a spare key to gain entry and then witnessed her ingest and inject drugs. She was also holding a loaded syringe in her hand that she wouldn’t put down.

NPD members were able to safely take the needle away before she was taken into custody.The 39 year old faces charges of mischief and will appear in court next month.
