CGR mayor to go to Feds on airport frustration

Can the federal government help improve reliability at the Castlegar airport or not?

It has always been hoped the new Q400 plane can be equipped with software that would allow lower landing ceilings. However, Air Canada says it is all in the hands of Nav Canada the federal agency.

Chernoff says the next step now is to go right to the Feds.

Chernoff believes the navigational approach systems are the answer to improving reliability at the airport – whether Air Canada can offer it or not.
