Millenium Ponds open for first full summer

Castlegar’s Millennium Ponds aqua park is open for its first full summer.

The $1.2 million project was unveiled last August after nearly ten years in the making.

Director of Public Works Chris Barlow says it will be beneficial from staff’s perspective to have the attraction operating for an entire season.

The aqua park consists of three swimming ponds with slides connecting them.

Castlegar’s forecast is calling for sunny skies and a highs over 30 degrees this weekend.
