CGR Community Garden needs support

Castlegar’s Community Garden needs help before it starts pushing up daisies.

Joanne Pagnini with the Kootenay Food Strategy Society – which runs the garden – says they cannot continue to operate they way they are or they’ll be forced to fold.

She says they have enough residents using the garden but not enough volunteers.

Pagnini says everyone from elementary students to the older community to those with disabilities use the garden for a variety of reasons.

She encourages anyone interested in volunteering or joining the Board of Directors to attend their Annual General Meeting June 22nd in Castlegar
