The Rossland project that will be put forward by the city for a new federal grant is the Miners Hall renovation.
Mayor Kathy Moore says council studied the merits of various local initiatives this week and the historic miner’s hall came out tops.
The project has a million dollar budget but 70% has already been raised.
The city will apply for $250,000 from the Federal Canada 150 grant pool.
The city will also endorse grant applications by the library and museum groups.
