Local school district rejoins BCSTA

School District 8 has rejoined the BC School Trustees Association.

The Kootenay Lake School Board had voted in December to leave the BCSTA – making it one of just two districts across the province to do.

 

Board Chair Lenora Trenaman says after getting four new local trustees and noticing changes at the BCSTA’s Annual General meeting they believe the association is heading in a new direction.

She adds there is strength in numbers when trying to get your message across to the province and they are happy to be working with the association again.
