Trail jumps at Gyro Park skatepark grant opportunity

Federal funding the City of Trail is after for their long-awaited All Wheel Park is an opportunity they just can’t pass up.

This from Councillor Kevin Jolly as Council is suspending a planned community survey that would ask residents not only if they want such a facility but where it should go.

Instead the City will earmark property in Gyro Park adjacent to the boat launch as part of their application to the new Canada 150 Community Infrastructure program.

The City is looking for half of the estimated $700,000 cost for the facility.

The Gyro Park property meets the grant’s criteria.
