Silverton councillor elected to FCM Board

Rural areas in our region and across BC will continue to be heard at the national level .

This from Village of Silverton councillor and RDCK Director Leah Main who has been elected to the BC Caucus of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ board of directors.

That means she’s at the table for regular discussions with the sitting federal government on things like infrastructure and housing, energy and transit strategies.

She has already lobbied federal party delegates on transit.

Main says she will advocate for scalable funding so municipalities don’t get forgotten about just because they’re small.
