Court decision on marijuana options – local reaction

The promoter of a local cannabis advocacy festival says today’s Supreme Court decision on medical marijuana opens the door for a lot of people.

Charles Varabioff – originally from Grand Forks – has organized Canna-Fest in his hometown for August 7th and 8th.

Varabioff is speaking to the unanimous court decision that expands the definition of medical marijuana to include edibles and oils.

He explains it’s good because a lot of people have respiratory problems.

Varabioff says he is meeting with Grand Forks RCMP Friday and will discuss the possibility of selling cannabis infused edibles at the festival to licensed patients.
