Local school students played their part in an important simulated event in South Slocan Thursday morning.
Mount Sentinel drama students had roles as six occupants involved in a nasty two-vehicle crash.
Dave Laramee the training officer with the Tarrys Volunteer Fire Department said he aim is to highlight to students the dangers and consequences of impaired and distracted driving.
Laramee says the event featured various local crews doing extrication, fire and first-response.
