Sitkum Duhamel fire 30% contained

There is still no time frame for the lifting of the Evacuation Alert for more than 350 homes affected by the Sitkum-Duhamel Creek wildfire.

But things are now rated as 30% contained.

More personnel joined the action over the weekend.

There are 125 fire-fighters working on building guards and doing burn-outs.

An Access Restriction Order remains in place and anyone defying that can face a fine of up to $5,000.
