Beach parking on the way

Work is set to start on some formal parking at the popular Crescent Valley Beach.

The RDCK says the first phase – a small parking area- will happen over the next month .

Local area director Walter Popoff hopes it will only take a matter of days.

The 14-spots will be paved and the RDCK is piggy-backing off the paving work happening along Highway 6.

A large un-paved parking area for about 45 vehicles is also part of the plans for the popular finishing spot for Slocan River Users.
