Extra fire fighting crews arrive in Boundary

More firefighters and equipment has arrived in the Boundary to bolster the local departments.

The RDKB’s Information Officer Deep Sidhu says 14 firefighters, 4 engines and two water tenders will be split evenly and sent where they’re needed.

The extra fire fighting resources come from the departments in Castlegar, Creston, Kaslo, Pass Creek, Warfield and Trail.

The BC Wildfire Service also has sprinkler protection specialists on standby.
