“Discomfort” regarding bridge borrowing:Rossland mayor

There is discomfort over the hasty application to the province for $3 million more in borrowing for the planned pedestrian sewer crossing in Trail.

This from Rossland Mayor Kathy Moore as they, Trail and Warfield have asked for the extra lending approval.

That because the contactor is only prepared to hold their quote on the higher than expected $14.4 million job until the end of this week.

The 3 partners would be in for a proportionate share of $7.2 million on the sewer portion while Trail would pay an extra $7.5 million for the walkway.
