Tourism Rossland talks summer plans

Tourism Rossland has been presenting their initiatives for this summer.

Executive Director Deanne Steven says one of the big programs will be the Kootenay Golf trail, but she says its not all about golfing.

One of the key goals is to have people view the communities in which these golf courses are situated.

Steven says they will be working with a photographer to put together a photo-bank as well as working with various business to boost their listings for online drivers such as Yelp, Bing and TripAdvisor.

The goals of these tourism initiatives is to entice more visitors to stay longer.
