SD8 draft plan sees possible closure of Trafalgar

Nelson’s Trafalgar Middle School could be closed down and all elementary schools made grades K-7.

This if a draft plan rolled out by the Kootenay Lake School District is implemented.

Here’s Kim Morris, SD8 Secretary-Treasurer.

There would be no change for Rosemont, Hume, Blewett or Redfish.

This is only a draft plan and nothing has been finalized.

The proposed reconfiguratoin and closure scenario was brought to public consultation and there will be a meeting tonight at 6:30 at Salmo Secondary.
