More surgeries preformed in local hostpitals

Our two regional hospitals were able to perform extra surgeries over the past few months.

Between June 2015 and March of this year KBRH completed an additional 122 procedures.

There were an extra three at Kootenay Lake Hospital.

This was part of Interior Health’s increase of 1,600 surgeries during that time.

Part of the reason for the boost in procedures in our area was because OR hours were boosted during winter holidays allowing more surgeries to happen.
