No to Queens Bay beach becoming a parking lot

The prospect of the Balfour ferry terminal being moved to Queens Bay is not sitting well with property owners.

John Betts speaks for the Queens Bay Residents Association and says this goes well beyond their neighborhood.

Betts – who has owned a home there for 40 years -says there are concerns this may already be a done deal.

He wants to know if dredging the West Arm has been fully explored given the key issue is that the Osprey 2000 vessel is hitting the shallow river bottom there.

The Ministry’s public consultation starts June 15th.
