Petition on East Shore supports terminal move

A petition supporting the relocation of the Balfour Ferry Landing is circulating around the East Shore of Kootenay Lake.

And resident Mike Jeffery, who penned the document, is hopeful the deadline extension for public input will give it more clout.

And the opportunity for a public meeting on the East Shore, which residents have been requesting.


Jeffery says the petition has garnered about 200 signatures to date and will be sent to Victoria.
