Creston Doukhobor Society selling hall

The Creston Valley Doukhobor community is parting ways with its hall.

A sign of times.

This is how the Creston Doukhobor Society Treasurer sums up the pending sale of its hall.

Alex Ewashen says similar to churches, their numbers are dwindling.

The hall is being sold to the Heartland Mennonite Brethren, who’ve been renting it for just over a year, through financing.

Ewashen says once that deal is complete the Doukhobor Society will be dissolved.
