One last hurrah for a piece of BC firefighting history.
Gerry Stevenson says his father Henry helped put together the first monsoon bucket and did it in Nelson.
He hopes to see it recognized the Fire Services Museum in Victoria one day.
On Saturday, weather permitting, the bucket will dump it’s last load of water into the west arm of Kootenay Lake.
You can watch it happen at 10 am from the Nelson Airport.
