Columbia Basin Trust lauds recreation project

The Columbia Basin Trust wants to see more projects like the Slocan Community Recreational Greenway.

Several groups came together on an initiative with separate but related components.

Delphi Hoodicoff with the Trust says it’s exactly the sort of thing they encourage.

The trust put up $250,000 — the maximum in their recreation infrastructure grants.

It will see a portion of the Slocan Valley Rail Trail paved plus improvements to the Crescent Valley beach.
