Leafs beat Hawks in double overtime

In KIJHL action this weekend the Grand Forks Border Bruins continued their hot start to the regular season with two wins including a 7-2 win at home Saturday over the Columbia Valley Rockies.

The Castlegar Rebels dropped both of their weekend games including a 7-3 loss Saturday to the Ghostriders in Fernie.

The Beaver Valley Nitehawks went one and one over the weekend after shutting out the Spokane Braves at home Saturday 4-0.

On Friday in Nelson the Hawks fell 3-2 to the Leafs in double overtime.
