A disappointed Arthur Bartsch is speaking to the city’s decision to dispose of the university’s remaining book collection.
Thousands of boxes of books have been in storage since 2008.
The city says those of value have already found homes.
The public will be offered what’s left for free and whatever remains after that will be given away or recycled.
Bartsch and others hoped that the collection would help lure a university back to the city one day.
