Solar Garden celebration set for June 24th

Nelson’s one-of-a-kind solar array will be celebrated at a grand opening later this month.

It is located next to Nelson Hydro’s Bonnington Falls power plant on the Kootenay River.

Ecosave Coordinator Carmen Proctor says the solar garden project is truly a community investment.


The plant is being connected to the grid in the coming days ahead of the formal grand opening and customer appreciation event.

That happens Saturday June 24th.
