The proprietor of a Nelson cannabis dispensary doesn’t think city council gave them a fair shake.
Jim Leslie of Kootenays Medicine Tree was expecting some dialogue this week on their variance request.
Instead council upheld a $5,000Â business license fee with little discussion.
The non-profit Nelson Cannabis Compassion Club was also denied a break on the licensing fee.
Council said it couldn’t favour some businesses over others.
