Stepping Stones seeks tents

If you have a tent or tarp you’re not using, don’t throw it away — give it away.

Nelson’s Stepping Stones emergency shelter on Vernon St. is in need as more people come to the city in the summer months seeking temporary shelter.

Program manager Marjie Hills says they have 17 beds at the facility.

When they’re full, there are people who ask for shelter so they can sleep out in the bush.
