Council hears pitch to amend dog bylaw

Nelson city council has now heard a pitch to remove dog breeds from its animal control bylaw.

A citizen says her Staffordshire terrier is anything but vicious, no matter what the by-law says.

Mayor Deb Kozak agrees it’s worth looking into.

But Kozak says it will be part of a larger review of the by-law that also addresses chickens and bees.

And it could take a while.
