A former Nelson resident has withdrawn from the race for mayor of Kamloops.
Reo Rocheleau, who founded Reo’s Video in Nelson in 1987, planned to run in Saturday’s by-election.
But he told Kamloops This Week that he’s dropped out because he wasn’t prepared to file a financial disclosure.
He says he will run in next year’s general election.
His campaign borrowed a line from Donald Trump in promising to “make Kamloops great again.”
