A man suspected of breaking into Ted Allen’s Jewellery in nelson last month has now been formally charged.
Anthony Creed Cortez is accused of break and enter and wearing a disguise with intent to commit a crime.
He’s being held pending his next court appearance Nov. 14.
Police said the store suffered a $30,000 loss between stolen goods and damage.
Cortez also faces a long list of unrelated charges in other communities.
