Support sought for Crawford Creek Regional Park

The campaign to create a regional park at Crawford Bay is now seeking letters of support.

Kokanee Springs Resort, which has long allowed the public to use the 162 acres, is selling it for $3.75 million.

Mike Jeffery is among those who want to preserve some or all of it for public access.

Jeffery says they need to show the Regional District of Central Kootenay there is strong support, but he acknowledges local taxpayers alone can’t foot the bill.
