Nelson, Riondel included on francophone heritage map

Two local sites have been included on the BC government’s interactive map of francophone heritage sites.

Minister Adrian Dix, who’s responsible for francophone affairs, says one is the village of Riondel.

Dix there are still a lot of French names in the community.

The other site is Patenaude Hall at Selkirk College’s Tenth Street campus in Nelson.

The map has been launched to educate people about francophone heritage in BC and boost tourism to the province.
