A Nelson daycare is getting funding for renovations as part of money announced Monday by the BC government.
The School House Early Care and Learning Centre will receive a little under $25,000, as its share of a $33-million program for 103 projects.
Founder Veronica Maclean says it will let them add five spaces.
However, the government claimed in a news release that the funding will create 18 new spaces.

Maclean explains what the work will include.
She says the work shouldn’t interfere with their existing programs.
Overall the Uphill daycare is licensed for 47 kids including an infant/toddler program and out-of-school care.
It’s in the former Gordon Sargent primary school.
