The City of Nelson named its cultural ambassador and gave out its heritage award this week.
But what about the sustainability awards?
Mayor Deb Kozak says they’re taking a one-year hiatus.
Kozak says they’ll see if other groups might be interested in adjudicating the nominations.
The annual awards recognize individuals, businesses, and groups who show “leadership in moving Nelson towards its vision of prosperity and resilience.”
