Kim Charlesworth to be honoured as Citizen of the Year

The Citizen of the Year Banquet is coming up on Friday. It’s organized by the Nelson Council of the Knights of Columbus. Grand Knight Bob Tremblay says this year’s event will honour Kim Charlesworth as 2017’s Citizen of the Year.

Charlesworth’s activities include creating a garden to help supply the Nelson Food Cupboard and serving on City Council. Tremblay says the banquet is not only in celebration of Charlesworth’s contributions, but to highlight citizenship in general.

The evening also includes a banquet dinner at St. Joseph School. Tickets are $40 and can be picked up from the Nelson Star office before Thursday at 5:00pm
