Kootenay Co-op to build new green space

Kootenay Co-op isn’t done with plans at its new location in Nelson Commons. Beside the parking lot, they’ll be putting in a new green space. David Reid, Marketing and Communications Manager for Kootenay Co-op says construction will happen in two phases .

He says they don’t know exactly when the project will get started, but they’re hoping to have phase one done in time for summer.

Reid says it will provide a place for people to be outside together and provide a sense of community.
