John Dooley to run again for Nelson mayor

John Dooley has recently announced he’s running again for mayor in Nelson. Dooley has formerly served three terms as mayor and explains what’s prompted him to run again.

“I believe that I demonstrated over the years that my capacity to lead and help set direction and deliver that message to staff and make sure it filters down to the community has been paramount to my work at City Hall and I believe it’s time to bring that leadership back to get the city back on track.”

He says some specific issues he would like to address include respect for the downtown and community pride, and concerns about how City projects are being managed and the capacity of the municipality to handle the work load.

He’ll be running against current Mayor Deb Kozak.
