Drugs, firearms and stolen property seized in Nakusp

A search warrant executed by Nakusp RCMP this week resulted in the seizure of stolen property, illicit drugs and firearms.

Suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetemine, fentanyl, hash and pot were located during the search on 13th Avenue NW Monday, June 17.

RCMP say the amounts seized are indicative of trafficking.

A 36-year-old Nakusp woman was arrested at the property, but released on the promise to appear in court this fall.

A few firearms were also seized which were not properly licensed or stored. A stolen vehicle, dirt bike, and ATV were among the items recovered, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Nakusp RCMP at 250 265 3677 (if after hours, press #1 and stay on the line and your call will be transferred to a communications officer) or anonymously at Crimestoppers 24 hours a day at 1- 800-222-8477.
