The mayor of Rossland doesn’t think there’ll be another sewer battle with Trail …this time regarding a new crossing over the Columbia River.
Only last year the two cities and Warfield finally closed the book on years of squabbling about shared sewer costs.
Mayor Greg Grantrom says a bridge could cost $7.5 million while hanging pipe from the Victoria St bridge for example could cost $3.4 million.
Quotes often don’t match actual costs and Trail’s regional rep says they may offer Rossland and Warfield a fixed price and take over the whole project.
Granstrom isn’t commenting on that.
Negotiations will likely start next week.
