COVID outbreak at Kootenay Lake Hospital ends

The COVID outbreak at Kootenay Lake Hospital has been declared over.

Interior Health says there were 18 cases, but no deaths connected to the outbreak, which began New Year’s Day in the medical unit.

Outbreak precautions have been lifted.

Another outbreak in late August and early September saw eight cases.
