Transit service for Slocan Valley

After 2 weeks of no service to the north end of the Slocan Valley, the City of Nelson, RDCK and BC Transit have set up a modified transit service to allow residents to come into Nelson for appointments and other needs.

The response comes after wildfires closed Highway 6 in the Slocan Valley.

The new service will connect Nakusp, New Denver and Silverton to Nelson through Kaslo.

This service will offer conventional, medical and HANDYdart pickups between Nakusp and Silverton.

The route will then become an express only directly to Nelson and return.

The service will run Tuesdays and Thursdays until the highway reopens.

For route information and bookings call 1-855-993-3100 option 2.
