Portion of Evacuation Order downgraded to an Evacuation Alert for the Argenta Creek wildfire

An Evacuation Order for 116 properties in Electoral Area D has been as downgraded to an Evacuation Alert.

The area includes properties south of the Duncan Dam and west of Duncan FSR, Argenta-Johnsons Landing Road and properties west of the road, including Johnsons Landing and Fry Creek. See a map of the Evacuation Alert area below.

The community of Argenta and the properties East of the Duncan FSR and East of the Argenta-Johnsons Landing Road remain on Evacuation Order due to the Argenta Creek wildfire. See map of the Evacuation Order area below.

Residents that have been downgraded to an Evacuation Alert are advised there may be unseen dangers when returning to their homes and properties. The RDCK advises all residents to read through the information provided by Interior Health on how wildfires can affect your health and safety, by clicking here.

BCWS is still actively using the Argenta-Johnsons Landing road for personnel and equipment. Please use the road with caution and give BCWS crews space.
