Nelson police recover stolen vehicles

Nelson Police have been busy responding to reports of four stolen vehicles this week.

Fortunately, all but one of these were recovered; however, Nelson Police say stolen vehicles can be extremely difficult to track down and this is a type of crime that is currently on the rise, both in our community and across the country.

“We urge the public to take precautions, such as parking in secure and well-lit areas, never keeping spare keys on the exterior of the vehicle, and installing tracking devices.” said Nelson Police.

“Additionally, make sure you know the make, model, year, license plate, and VIN number of
your vehicle in the event that you need to make a report.”

To report a crime please call Nelson Police Department on 250-354-391.
