Armed robbery at 7-Eleven; suspect still at large

The Nelson Police Department is searching for a suspect believed to be involved in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven overnight.

The incident occurred at 3:53 a.m. on Monday, November 18. Police say security footage shows an unknown male entering the premises with what is believed to be a grey handgun.

The suspect pointed the firearm at the store’s cashier, stealing cigarettes and cash before fleeing northbound on foot with the stolen items in a black garbage bag.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5’6” to 5’7” tall, weighing around 165 lbs. He was wearing a blue hoodie, black face covering, blue jeans, black gloves, and black Adidas shoes.

The Nelson Police Department is still working to identify the individual. Anyone with cellphone, home security, or CCTV video footage, or anyone who witnessed the incident, is encouraged to come forward.

Additionally, police are seeking any information that could assist in identifying the suspect.
