BC government to hold memorial service for former premier Horgan

The BC government looks to hold a provincial state memorial service for former premier John Horgan.

Horgan, who led B.C. as Premier from 2017 to 2022, passed away the morning of November 12 after his third cancer diagnosis. Many throughout the province paid tribute to him following his passing.

Now the government is set to hold a memorial service for him, which will include religious components by reverend Dr. Keith Howard, musical interludes, and words of remembrance.

The service will take place on December 15 at the Q Centre in Colwood, starting at 1:00 p.m.

Details on how the public can attend the service will be revealed in the coming days.
