Trail Edible Garden approved

Trail’s Edible Landscape Committee sure is happy they made some clarifications to city council about a proposed Community Garden.

Council approved a revised plan to bring the initiative to a lot on Rossland Avenue near Piazza Colombo Park by June.

Committee Chair Gina Ironmonger says they are delighted Council backed their project.

The group was able to drop preparatory costs to the site by nearly $9,000.

A neighbor will provide water to the site – saving the city $4,000-  and bear attractant issues are being addressed meaning they won’t have to put up a $10,000 fence.
