A concerned Grand Forks resident is hoping council will approve a cooling-off period to help resolve the divisions in the community over water meters.
Karen Bagn will be part of a delegation next month that will present what they’re calling the Grand Forks Water Meter Manifesto – a wealth of letters, documents and research gathered by opponents .
Council has voted to press on with the outstanding 30% Â of installations and has asked for public input on what should happen regarding the plus-250 hold outs who refuse a meter.
Bagn is hoping for what she calls a face-saving pause.
Bagn says those who’ve already had a meter installed should be allowed to opt out.
