The B.C. government is partnering with Crime Stoppers on an awareness campaign to encourage members of the South Asian community who have been targeted by extortion to come forward.Â
Despite Mayor Janice Morrison's opposition, council has passed the first three readings of an amendment to its Official Community Plan to change the land use designation for the City-owned Front Street property located beside the Nelson and District Community Complex.Â
